See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess." Our pastors have set up a church-wide reading plan so we can study what they will preach about - a nifty way to get us all on the same page. I was following the plan one morning and this song popped out of the page and into my heart almost instantly. Deuteronomy, really? Who'd of thunk it?

My friend Mike Conrad started this song with the cool guitar jam and a thought of Jesus standing at the door and knocking. What a great idea to wrap a song around. Jesus pursues fellowship with us and all we have to do is open up to Him. He could command us. He could give up and move on. His love is steady even when ours is not.
